I build intelligent systems for the physical world. 

I’m Aminreza Abbasi. I’ve never been very good at seeing a problem and just leaving it alone. I get curious, ask questions, and eventually want to build something.

That curiosity has taken me through AI, computer vision, satellite data, research, and entrepreneurship. I’ve worked on real world problems in agriculture, energy, and health through my work at Agrivanna, Cenovus Energy, Nutrien, and the University of Calgary.

Today, I’m the co-founder and CTO of Agrivanna, where we build technology for farmers and ranchers. Working closely with them has taught me that good technology starts with listening.

I’m also a Computer Science student at the University of Calgary, minoring in Data Science. Outside of work and research, I’ve spent a big part of university building student communities and bringing people together.

To me, entrepreneurial thinking is a responsibility. When you see a gap, you don’t just point at it. You try to close it.

I want to keep building things that leave the laptop and become useful in the real world.
